It's time once again for music and outdoor fun all summer long thanks to the lineup arranged by the Greenville Recreation and Parks Department for the Sunday in the Park 2013 outdoor concert series.

The series is now in its fortieth year and takes place in Greenville at the Town Common on First Street every Sunday at 7 p.m. from June 2 to August 18. The concerts, which are held in the Greenville Toyota Amphitheater, tend to draw crowds of about 500 people.

Feverfew is a member of the daisy family. It has been used in traditional medicine as far back as the first century to prevent the occurrence of migraine headaches. It is also used for reducing the severity of migraine side effects. Traditionally consumed as whole fresh or dried leaves or as a tea, feverfew is also available in supplemental form as an encapsulated powder standardized for the potential active ingredient known as parthenolide.

Migraines can cause excruciating pain and incapacitate the sufferer. According to WebMD, feverfew is effective for relieving migraines in some people. Because it's a herb, feverfew is relatively inexpensive.

Parents for Public Schools, an organization that empowers parents to be leaders in their school districts, has formed a chapter in Pitt County, North Carolina.

Chapters also work with school leadership and the community to strengthen public schools.

Greenville's Magnolia Arts Center is announcing performances of "Don't Cry For Me Margaret Mitchell," a play by Duke Ernsberger and Virginia Cate, on June 14, 15, 16, 20, 21 and 22.

Set in 1939, the humorous play chronicles David O. Selznick, who has already begun filming "Gone with the Wind," but needs a new script. The legendary writer Ben Hecht has been asked to write the script with only a week to do so. The problem: Hecht has never read the book. Selznick locks himself, Hecht and director Victor Flemming in his office to write the screenplay of the book that took Margaret Mitchell 10 years to write.
