Brandy Lee is involved in pageants at the local, state and national level

I have been blessed to have such a wonderful and supporting family my entire life.  At an early age my mother encouraged me to get involved in many different activities which I believe has truly helped me and my career.  One of those activities was competing in pageants.  I begin competing in these around the age of 8 years old and I am still very much involved with them today.  I believe pageants help young girls/women confidence and socialization skills.

As we all know the national media can ruin the image of many things and that included is pageants.  While we all want to win at whatever task is at hand, my mother instilled in me that taking home the crown wasn’t all that was in store for me.  I met some of the best people while competing in pageants and most are still my very close friends today.  With all things in life you have to put your best foot forward!

While I have retired my personal competing days I am still very much active in pageants.  I am a director, judge, coach, and a hair/makeup stylist for pageants both on a local and state level.  I am the current director for the Miss Independence Scholarship Pageant held annually in Belhaven, NC which awards a $1000 academic scholarship to its winner.  Through my interactions with pageants  I am able to help young girls/women with their poise, posture, public speaking, interview sessions, and most importantly self confidence.  If you don’t believe in yourself we can’t expect others too.  Coaching young girls/ladies helps me show them all the positive they can do through pageants.  All the pageants I am involved with and attend have their court stay active in the community and with local projects.  Many raise money for Victory Junction Gang, Relay for Life, Children’s Miracle Network, etc.

If you are interested in more information in regards please feel free to contact me at 252-944-7216.  I always teach my girls this quote…”Always reach for the moon because even if you miss you will be amongst the STARS!”
