Meet MS Walk Volunteer Angela Hall

Angela Hall has lived and worked in Greenville for 14 years.  She went to college at ECU and has taken part in the Greenville Walk MS, hosted by the Eastern North Carolina Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, for 4 years.  She is happy and proud to call Greenville home and is very much connected to the community and university here.  Like many people with multiple sclerosis she looks for any opportunity to raise money for better drug therapies, treatment and, hopefully, a cure.  She is a team captain, recruiting team members, pledges and setting a fundraising goal for her team.  Last year her team raised two-thousand dollars and that is the group’s goal for this year as well.  “I really enjoy getting to see some of my old professors at the walk,” she says.  People also do their part to encourage participation.  “I know one professor who makes participation in the walk an extra credit opportunity,” Hall explains.  Angela’s MS advocacy began with the diagnosis of her aunt thirty years ago.  At the time much less was known about MS.  With her own diagnosis, being active in the MS movement was imperative and she intensified her efforts.  To register for the Greenville Walk MS scheduled for May 2nd, visit walknct.nationalMSsociety.org or call 1 800 FIGHT MS.
