Sheila M. Parson has an extensive military background in the U.S. ARMY, where she was enlisted, went to Desert Shield/Storm and then officer candidate school. She has been attached to several units, while in Desert storm she was part of the 207 Evacuation Hospital, came back from that war and joined the 1775 MP Company and finally the 177the Military Police Brigade. She has since left the Army and is now a retired Army Captain. She keeps in touch with the active duty soldiers thru her foundation (QSA Foundation) which helps homeless children, veterans and military families and thru her volunteerism with the AT&T VETS organization where she is the president of the North Carolina chapter of AT&T VETS and Vice President of the South East Region chapter of AT&T VETS.
Parson travels a lot for her foundation, coming to Michigan at least twice a year to help homeless children and military families in the Detroit area where the QSA Foundation and AT&T Volunteers hosts a huge event for homeless children and military families an event which is also mimicked in both Kentucky and North Carolina.
Sheila M. Parson works as a Lead Staffing Manager for AT&T Management Staffing. She has been an employee of AT&T since 1994 where she started in Customer Service with what was then called Cingular. She has since been a manager in SBC Operator Services, Force Management and done non-management staffing.
Parson has her B.A in Communications and Journalism, her M.A. in Business and Human Resource Management and her PhD in Organizational Development and Human Resources.
Parson who is a certified Trainer, Planner and Notary Signing Agent is also the Owner of QSA Entertainment a business services & event planning company recognized as a Minority Woman Owned Business by the State of North Carolina, Michigan & Kentucky. Parson is an active member in the chambers in her city as well as an active member of her National sorority. She lives happily in North Carolina with her Husband Jason, and Nephew. She contributes her aspirations to continue being a servant of God and contributes to her church (Koinonia) in the media services ministry.
