Pat Taylor is a real estate professional being in business since 1994. Born and raised in Wayne County, NC, moving to Greene Co., after getting married to Mac Taylor of Hookerton. She is the mother of one daughter, Tammy Oakes, two sons, Dana Taylor of Wilson, and Benji Taylor of Winterville. She has 5 grandchildren.

Prior to a real estate career, Pat worked with the Dept. of Correction for almost 16 years. She started as a Correctional Officer for a medium-maximum security facility for all male inmates. That was a very challenging and learning experience. Never having fired a weapon, she was a sharp shooter throughout her employment with the correctional system. Pat learned to fired a shot gun, rifle and revolver. Very proud of those accomplishments, she decided to try deer hunting with her spouse, Mac. Pat liked hunting until one day; she fell from a deer stand and broke 5 bones in one day.

That is how her real estate career began. While healing from the accident, Pat went to Lenoir Community College and studied for the real estate exam. After passing the exam and obtaining the necessary licenses to become a broker-in-charge, she opened her own firm. Pat worked as a broker/owner until 2002, when she sold the franchise. Pat joined RE/MAX Preferred Realty in 2003.  Pat and her husband, Mac also own an auction firm (Our Country Auction & Realty), serving Eastern North Carolina.

Working at RE/MAX has given her the opportunities to be her own boss within a company. Pat credits her faith, past experiences and knowledge as a stepping point in her career today.  She loves helping others and has found working in real estate very rewarding.

Pat finds spending time with her family is very important to her. Since she no longer hunts, she enjoys fishing and traveling as her hobbies.

If you looking to sell your home or purchase a home please feel free to contact Pat. She would love to help you with your next purchase.
