My name is Lauren Adams, a certified Health and Physical Education teacher and personal trainer. I live life with the realization that it is my one and only, and I have chosen to encourage others to do the same. In high school I was a “go do-er”. I wanted to experience everything, and so be it, I tried. I was a year-round athlete with many plaques and dangly medals to show off. When not sweating and practicing lay-ups, I was a member of all the bands and choirs that were offered. My parents encouraged me well, and I have them to thank for my inspiration to succeed.
In college as a member of a club within my major, I played in many tournaments and volunteered for Blood Drives and Community Services. A program named S.N.A.P. (Special Needs Activity Program) was a big part of my life. We designed activities and games for youth with special needs while supervising them in the gymnasium and swimming pool. I was a waitress, a lifeguard, a Truck and Tractor Pull media hostess, a Dodge Ball Program supervisor, a substitute teacher, a co-manager of a swimming facility, and a personal trainer. Though busy, life was good and I enjoyed learning about people of all makes, models, and ages, but adventure began knocking on my door. My roommate and I threw a dart at the map, and we landed here in Eastern Carolina.
Life in Greenville, NC has not been long endured, but if measured in experience, I have quite a bit under my belt. The day after unpacking my entirely-too-full car, I had an interview for my new job. Dennis and Jackie Howard found my relocation to be perfect timing as they had just opened Snap Fitness here in Greenville. Shortly after, I was appointed manager. Without the trust and support of Mr. and Mrs. Howard, I would not have the wonderful life and career that I have today. Be well.
