Consider your life from a different perspective with the help of a professional life coach.

In the current economic climate, while the headlines would have us believe that the sky is falling, some people are beginning to look at what really matters in their lives.  What an opportune time to grow into what the heart knows and has been asking for a long time!

“Why bother?  And get real!”  You might say.  “I’ve got a business to run here!  I’ve got an income to bring home.”  True, if your very survival depends on your job, then you’re working from a wholly different paradigm.  But how many of us are truly scrounging to survive?  Most of us (myself included) are thinking about being able to afford what I already have.

When we come from this place of fear - fear of losing it all and never getting it back - we cannot give of ourselves lest we might lose more.  We play it tight; we don’t trust.  We don’t see the future, we fear it.  You see the downward spiral?  We’re already planning for the worst.  And some might argue that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

So how to break away from this spiral?
Switch gears for a moment and allow yourself to consider a different perspective.  What does real “success” look like to you?  It is more of the same?  Is it respect?  Is it loads of money?  Is it love?  What are you doing, being the “successful” person?

My experience from my coaching clients tells me that with “success” comes a certain calm, inner knowing.  Knowing that you will be alright, that all is well with the business, or relationships, or family.
So where does this inner knowing come from exactly?  How does one get it?

It comes from being willing to step off the train and take a look.  It comes from answering the question about what is important to you and why.  It begins by listening to your soul.

So yes, the times ahead may be fraught with uncertainty.  They always are.  Take the opportunity to see what your heart – and soul - has to say.
