Greenville-Pitt County Chamber Website

The Chamber has revamped and launched its Web site, www.greenvillnc.org. In today’s world, the Chamber realizes its internet address can be more important than its physical address. In fact, according to surveys, 69.16 percent of the Chamber’s membership uses the Web site and it receives around 10,000 hits per month. With the use of the Web site at an all time high, a top of the line Web site for the Chamber is essential to the Greenville and Pitt County area.

The new site allows visitors the opportunity to browse an online membership directory as well as an online job bank. A Cost of Living calculator is also featured on the site so visitors are able to compare Greenville’s cost of living with other cities in the U.S.

The new site provides members with better exposure, access to a “members only” section which allows them to update their business information in a more efficient manner as well as post jobs in the online job bank. Visitors have access to a calendar of events, community statistics, chamber news, and links to other helpful community Web sites. Visitors can also register for events online and purchase Chamber publications. In addition, the new Web site will allow the Chamber to explore the additions of message boards and online videos. Overall, the new greenvillenc.org strengthens the Chamber’s mission by helping the Chamber as it strives to serve as the “voice of business” and the “front door” to Greenville and Pitt County. Web site advertising is available. For more information, contact Philip Herendeen at philip@greenvillenc.org.

Business Beat

On a first-come basis, Chamber members are invited to appear on Business Beat to talk about their business. Business Beat is a talk show, hosted by Susanne Sartelle of the Chamber of Commerce, and the guest on the show is you. Business Beat is an opportunity to get the word out about your business, update the community on new things happening in your business and advertise for free on a cable television station. Your taped interview will last for seven minutes and will air multiple times during a two week period. This is a priceless opportunity for free marketing for your business. Taping for the show is on Wednesday afternoons. The show is filmed at Cable 7, 408 W. Arlington Blvd. Suite 101-B. Before you appear on Business Beat you should provide the Chamber with 5 to 10 starter questions that are relevant to your business and what you would like to discuss. If you are interested in scheduling a time to appear on Business Beat, contact Amanda Meyer at (252) 752-4101 or amanda@greenvillenc.org
