The public is invited to try out soup and chili recipes. Take-out lunch 
tickets are available in advance or at the door on the day of the event,
 which will be held from noon to 2 p.m., during which time your meal can
 be picked up. Tickets are $7 and include soup, a drink and a sandwich.&nbsp;]]></description>

launching the Pitt County Flag Redesign Contest which starts 
February 1 and will run through March 12. <br/>
&nbsp;<br/>
Pitt County designers, young and old, are encouraged to participate in 
the contest, which will ultimately lead to the Pitt County Board of 
Commissioners adopting a new flag. Participants will have the 
opportunity to make their mark on Pitt County history by submitting a 
full-color flag design that uses the Pitt County seal and/or logo, and 
follows the contest&#8217;s other rules of entry.</span>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<img title="" alt="" src="http://www.pcwomensjournal.com/content_images/1/BrittanyDail.jpg" align="Baseline" border="0" height="178" width="180"/><br/>When visiting Firetower Animal Clinic in Winterville, pet lovers will likely find themselves drawn to some special magnets, which are not only decorative but also benefit an animal rescue organization.<br/><br/>The whimsical magnets stand out because of their bright colors and various animal shapes, including turtles, seahorses and fish. But the decorative pieces are also noteworthy because they&#8217;re made from recycled drink cans.<br/><br/>Winterville resident Brittany Dail, who has been an active volunteer with the North Carolina Chapter of the Mid Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League since 2008, is part of a group of volunteers who have been making the magnets since September of 2010.<br/><br/><br/>]]></description>
